The book combines to of my loves gardening and quilting. The book is heavy on the garden pictures and stories. There are 11 patterns in the book mainly for wall quilts.. It is a little light on instruction. The book is mainly for inspiration. There are variety of quilting techniques used in the book: paper piecing, applique, and piecing.

Like her mother, Valerie shows her quilting and artistic prowess in this book with several inspiring quilts to whet your sewing appetite. Bountiful colors and intriguing designs. If you are in a rut of patchwork, or you are looking to expand your quilting talents, give this book a try for inspiration!
