Very disappointing. The author tries too hard to be original, spritely and relevant when writing about Thoreau's life and work, and the author's last long chapter about finally visiting Walden Pond in Massachusetts is an embarrassment. If you're looking for a quick read about Thoreau, look up biographies about him in the Young Adult section of your library.
