Long story of a family, over many generations. Interesting and shows money isn't everything. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. I wanted the true hearts to join much sooner.

This is a story in which one can completely lose one's self. For 2 days, I was absorbed in the Coleman family and actually felt for them. I've ordered the next two in the series.

Excellent book. The beginning of the story, rich story lines and characters. Twist and turns keep you intrigue from start to finish. Strong women doing almost anything to keep the family together and Seth the father-in-law to whome nothing or noone matters except the heir.

In the first of this Texas series, Texas Rich, we meet an intriguing heroine, Billie Ames. She's young, beautiful and when she meets Moss Coleman, a dashing pilot she's a goner. They met in Philadelphia, at the Navy Yard, during World War II. Once married her home will be a far cry from what she has known - she moves to a gigantic ranch in Texas.

There's more for her to learn than ranch life - she must also come up with ways to retain her individuality and raise her children as she sees fit among the overpowering Coleman clan. Moss, too, has his work cut out for him as his father is a domineering man whose aphrodisiac is power, his mother is a shadow.

Texas Rich spans four generations, it's a spellbinding saga, every bit as large as its setting.

Billie Ames was naive but a real knockout when she met Moss Coleman at the Philadelphia Navy Yard during World War II. Within a few months she was pregnant and married to him. It was a marriage that brought Billie---and her mother, Agnes---across the country to Ausitn, to a 250,000 acre spread called Sunbridge, and into the world of the TEXAS RICH.

Young Billie Ames naively fell for the exciting pilot Moss Coleman at the Philadelphia Navy Yard during World War II. Within a few months she was pregnant, married, and traveling across the country to Austin...to the 250,000 acre spread known as Sunbridge and into the tantalizing world of the Texas rich. In a vast land dominated by the industrious Coleman's, Billie fights to maintain control of her life and her marriage.
