This story takes place 15 years after The Handmaids Tale. The story has three different narrators. I got the narrators confused at first and had to google some information.

The story is well-told; each narrator has a different personality and it shows. Atwood describes the country of Gilead in about the same detail that she did in the first book. There is still that shroud of mystery that you find in all of her books.

I enjoyed it. Fans will be delighted. I have a feeling that there will be at least one more in the series. I'll read it.

Going into this book was a little tough. I was a bit confused but after sticking with it, I very much enjoyed the POV's of the three main characters. It wasn't the story line I was expecting and yet it was still very enjoyable.
The book takes place 15 years after The Handmaid's Tale. We see 3 different perspectives. One from a daughter of a high ranking official who is expected to marry for position and not love, one from one of the Aunts who help determine the fates of these young ladies and one from someone who lives outside of Gilead who takes her freedom for granted. These women are intertwined in their destinies and we get to go along with them on their journey.
