Charming historical romance based on the twin trading places idea, but with more twists and humor than usually found in such stories. Sands manages to offer some surprises along the way. This is an engrossing narrative very likely to keep you with book in hand until the last happy page. All in all, a delightful read.

Although the back cover sounds a little cheesy- this book was actually fun to read.

I didn't care for this one as much. I usually read Sands for her sense of humor but this one was lacking. The plotline was okay and the situation was supposed to be funny, but I found it kind of boring and slow. I did a lot of skim reading although I did like the characters in the book quite a bit.

Sands has written much better stuff.

The story of twin girls being sold in marriage by their evil, greedy uncle. They take turns posing as a boy and have lots of interesting adventures, including being taken to a brothel because their new friend and protector thinks "charles" is a bit to feminine. This is a quick read and a well written fast paced story.
