This book was waaaaaaaay better than I expected. This is a must-read for folks after completing the original Star Wars/Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi trilogy, and it has Anakin/Obi-wan/Yoda ghosts helping to continue training Luke & Leia. Got into a lot of interesting issues - Imperials wondering who was next in succession after the Emperor and Vader are dead, theories on their deaths, Luke and Leia concealing their relation to each other and Vader, and most of that action is in just the first few chapters! The plot really picks up and keeps going, launching the books as a vital new thread of what is happening after the last movie. I've read other books like Splinters of the Mind's Eye, which take place before or after the movies which had little character development and could be skipped. This book should be put on your must-read lists for Star Wars fans!

Takes place shortly after the Return of The Jedi. Luke is told by Ben that he has to go or else loose everything that has already been gained.
