Olivia was introduced in the previous books and I think they need to be read first in order to fully understand what is going on with her. Olivia fell in love with a boy when she was a kid. Olivia's father than decides to sell her off to someone else to get money to fund her sister's Season. Fast forward several years. She is now widowed and penniless. It appears her dead husband was involved in something. Enter Jamie, the boy she loved, who never stopped thinking about her or loving her.
