It is all scrupulously unedited and replete with not just misspellings and grammatical errors, but agonizing insecurities, sexual fantasies, delusions of grandeur, pointless ramblings and banal trivialities. Originally published by Publicsfear in 1993 in an edition of 250 copies, the book struck a nerve--writing in Artforum, Jan Agvikos called it 'humorous, prattling, seriously insincere, self-deprecating nihilism'--and [sic] soon had the distinction of being one of the few artists books ever picked up by a mainstream publisher when Riverhead Press re-issued it as a mass-market paperback.
