This is a beautiful book.Get 4 books for 1 point. "One Upon a Summer", book 1: Josh and Aunt Lou have fun until Aunt Lou gets married and move into town. Gramps, Grandpa's dad comes to live with them and Josh has a new best friend, Gramps.
"Winds of Autumn", Book 2, Josh goes onto High School, and stays with Aunt Lou in town.He meets a girl he falls for only she is not a Christian. "
Winter is Not Forever", Book 3, There are several deaths in the family and it makes him question his faith in God.The new teacher teaches evolution, which Josh does not believe in. The girl he wants to marry announces she loves and is marrying some one else. Josh decides to become a farmer, and he learns a lot of new farming methods. Grandpa boards the new school teacher and old friend Mary Turley becomes their cook and dishwasher.
"Springs Gentle Promise", Book 4 Josh spends time developing the farm and spends time with two young women and asks God which he should marry. The answer is different than he expects. He marries and he and his wife quickly have two children.Drought comes and Josh moves far away to get a job to support his growing family. Aunt Lou has her 4th baby.
