I can't say that I loved this book, the subject matter is very dark, but the first person narrative and the fact that he combined the two stories set in different time periods, lightened it up somewhat. While it wasnt a pleasant read, I never felt tempted not to finish it. It is well written and the authors personal notes make it even more interesting. I feel that I learned something from this story.
