Lee Vance is a first-time author, and he writes about what he knows best, the world of trading. This is not a book about venture capitalism, however, it's about a murder and the route taken to solving the questions engendered by that act. In the end, it's about solving the murder.

I sincerely hope the author writes more novels, because if they are like this one, he's in for a long and illustrious career. The plot catches the reader immediately and from that point on it's really hard to put down this book and return to life's realities. It was a great read from beginning to the very end.

The book was well written and kept me interested until about half-way through when it became unrealistic that someone could survive so many beatings, etc. I was disappointed because it had a lot of promise at the beginning.

Very disappointed, not much of a mystery but a lot of big words and mostly about Russia and high finance corruption and hard to understand, not much about a murder mystery. I'd probably try another one of his books but if like this one wouldn't bother with anymore.

My first experience with this author and I wasn't disappointed! It was as much about the financial world as it was about a poor schmuck whose wife was brutally murdered and the only way he can keep from going to jail for it, is to find the real killer(s). Fast paced and twisted plots keeps this one interesting.

Easy to read but good story. Different from post mysteries.
