Excellent, waiting for the next book.
Sheridan is married to an ambassador to Venezuela. When both are injured, they hide out in Mexico. Sheridan then goes to Chicago, where her estranged father is dying. She must deal with several relationships while there.
This is a decent book, but I was rather bored with the storyline. Don't know why but I had a hard time sticking with the book. I am glad all the secrets hinted at during the book were revealed at the end.

Interesting plot twists that a couple I didn't see coming, but the book is slow to start and a little difficult to follow at first. Author does a good job and showing Sheridan finally making her faith a real part of her life and not just a fond memory of her mother and how Christ can make a complete turn around in someone else. Was one thread I was disappointed, with her mom, that it wasn't followed a little bit more in depth. I will probably read more from this author since her style wasn't completely predictable as some books are.
