I really enjoy Stephanie Laurens books about the Cynster family and the Bastion Club. But this was a disappointment. It's another kidnap, rescue and chase story but is too similar to the previous book with just the names changed. It could have been 50-75 pages shorter and been just as good. Although now I am interested in the Laird's story and looking forward to his book.

Banal. Complete waste of my book money, as I bought the Kindle version at $7.99, instead of waiting to get it via PBS. I really want to know what happens in the next book, so have put it on my wish list...won't pay for it, though, since SL's more recent titles haven't been great.
