My new FAVORITE cookbook - hands down!!! Unfortunately, my patience wouldn't allow me to "wish list" this book with PBS, and quite honestly, I don't know how many people will actually turn their copy loose once they've seen it!!! So I bought new copies for myself and my 22 year old daughter.

The step by step pictures are just what I would have loved when starting serious cooking years ago, but nothing existed like this. Both my daughter and I are thrilled with how real home cooking recipes are simplified, so even more challenging recipes don't seem too tough to tackle. You can't wait to start cooking!

There's a fabulously warm family love story that is central to how the Pioneer Woman came into being. "Pioneer Woman Cooks" is a amazing cookbook, with terrific pictures and step by step instructions for lots of tummy pleasing meals!

Wonderful to own or a fantastic gift! A genuine treasure!!!

Just returned this book to the library after scanning practically every page. I just couldn't wait any longer to get it. Thank god I decided to scan it too, cause when I went to her site those recipe pages were suspiciously under construction.

This is an amazing book that anyone should either buy, or scan/copy from the library. All recipes remind me of a good time around the table with family. Heart warming recipes such as sour cream pancakes, pulled pork, red velvet cake, sangria, breakfast burritos and alot more. Love you pioneer woman.

I love this cookbook. My husband loves the chicken fried steak! The recipes are great and it's also a great read. Lots of stories to get to know the woman behind the recipes.

I sctually read this like you would a regular book. Very entertaining. EASY, EASY TASTY recipes with LOTS of pictures that made me both hungry & want to get out of bed & start cookin'! I had first read her SECOND book (The Pioneer Woman, Black Heels to Tractor Wheels) & then visited her web site, so I knew the type of writing & her interest in good ol' down home, but sometimes fancy, food. A+

I saw this book offered in a swap game here on pbs. I checked it out from the library. It is always nice to skim a cookbook to see if you want to own it.

I read through the recipes that interested me, yes, ingredients and the step by steps. I found several that I would enjoy and could make in a jiffy. I can see why she became so famous. This book is full of other fun pages. For instances she had a beauty contest for her horses on a 4 page spread, so cute. She also does a 3 page spread about how she met Marlboro Man. Lots of fun stuff to read beside recipes, her family, her dogs. The thing is, the book is a keeper. I might as well buy it because, as a keeper it may never get posted.

If you click on the link here at PBS (buy it from Amazon)it will take you to the amazon books for sale, and pbs gets some small dividend.
