This was my first by this author. I kept seeing this series recommended by friends in thriller book circles so I decided to check it out. It's quite good for the first of a series and I will definitely continue. I found Kett to be a unique character-a detective whose wife went missing months ago and who is trying to raise 3 young girls on his own and trying to hold out hope for finding his wife alive again. This has a few twists and surprises and some heart, as well. I enjoyed the characters and look forward to reading the next of this series.
