This novel is about an American solder's experience in Vietnam and about his efforts to adjust to 'normal' life back home. The soldier, Paco is haunted by the ghosts of his dead comrades and these ghosts provide the novel's narrative voice.
This is a heartbreaking story and a reminder to us that we should never forget about the soldiers that serve our country.
