I believe this was a book that some of the characters in Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series were reading. It was billed as a humorous adventure. I didn't see the humor in it. I found it rather strange and morbid. The first part of the story reminded me of Cinderella, but it went downhill from there. I did enjoy the illustrations which were done by the author's late sister. My rating: 2 Stars.
