Thoroughly enjoyable mystery involving a woman physician and chemist in medieval Canterbury. Well-drawn atmosphere brings the cold winter alive with a tale of bloody murder. Great suspense. Writing style drawn you in and descriptions and dialogue seem true to the times. Book 3 in the Kathryn Swinbrooke series: no need to have read the previous titles.
