The setting for Interval is a city park surrounded by office buildings and apartment houses. Into this setting, comes Lenore, a secretary, for lunch each day. She?s chosen this solitary place because of a comfortable bench and a shaft of sunlight. Her solitude is shattered when Alan becomes part of the scene. This casual encounter develops into a friendship that encourages the pair to discuss problems in their lives as well as their interest and lack of interest in religious faith. Each scene takes place on a different day, while their relationship unfolds and a seeming murder mystery develops. While the audience may be led to believe that the story will lead to a romantic end, in fact Lenore and Alan?s relationship is more about fulfilling spiritual needs.« less
