A very good ghost story set in the late 1800s. Doherty is very good at the subtle things that make you insist that you read with all the lights on and yet you still jump when someone walks in the room.....my husband kept laughing everytime I tried to stifle a scream when he would inadvertently sneak up on me. :) I will definitely read more of his books.
