This is not a Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle book. This was written by Betty MacDonald's daughter many years after her death. In the original four Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books, she has clever cures that make the children want to stop doing whatever it is that they are doing. In Happy Birthday, Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, these cures do not. For instance, in one chapter, there is a girl who never finishes anything. She'll start working on one project and then get distracted and work on another. The cure is a magic powder which controls her hands, forcing them to finish a project before she works on another. Another chapter features a boy who constantly insults people. The cure is essentially to put bright glowing lights on his ceiling so he can't get any sleep until he stops insulting people. Almost all of the cures in this book are like this, with the exception of a few which are copying other Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle cures. I recommend that you read one of the other Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books. You will enjoy them a lot more.
