I found this a very interesting book, but then I live in Gainesville, Florida. Many of the photos helped me with my living history at a nearby state park, and I'll be incorporating some of the photo captions into an article I'm writing for the park's volunteer association.

There was a lot of interesting trivia in the book too, which I'll be sharing with friends. Some of it is mind-boggling. For example, a new school was established in Gainesville in 1920. I tried to imagine people driving around town with a bumper sticker on their Model-Ts stating "My Child is an Honor Student at the Florida Farm Colony for the Feeble-Minded and Epileptic." This school is now known as the Sunland Training Center
