I enjoyed this book, in fact I liked each book in the Texas Boardinghouse Brides series by Vickie McDonough. This is the story of Rachel's daughter Jack and her romance with the new preacher in town. She doesn't realize it, the handsome young pastor, Noah Jeffers is her old schoolhouse enemy, who returned to make amends for his past. Good story and characters.

This was a nice, fun read that finished out the Texas Boardinghouse Brides series very neatly.
I enjoyed that the fact that the main characters were actually introduced as children in the very first book of the series. It was interesting to read about them all grown up and falling in love themselves.
I also liked reading more about Carly, an out-law who made an appearance in the first book of the series but had served her time in jail and was now facing the difficulties that her past brings.

I loved reading "Jack"'s story! I knew she would a spunky young woman because she had so much spunk as a child. Great story! Loved how Ms. McDonough pulls out some history from the other books in the series(can't say anymore)!
I'm so glad Carly got out of jail and found love, even with the most unlikely person! I knew she was a good person and she turned out to be a lifesaver for Rachel who wrote to her in jail and invited her back to Lookout.
Lovely series! I look forward to reading more from Ms. McDonough.
