Tarr is at her very finest in her Avaryan books, in my opinion, and 'Fall of Princes' is the best of the best. Two princes, heirs to empires on the verge of war, fall helplessly, hopelessly in love.
THe third book in the series is by far the best. Memorable characters and surprises at the ending. can be read on its own.
