With each book, Silva adds yet one more layer of depth to Gabriel Allon. Here is a character that does not get old in the literary sense. We find new things about him, and how it means to live in the midst of the life each of us is given.
I read every one of Daniel Silva's books starring Gabriel Allon and loved them all! This book is my favorite one, taking place in Israel, England, Corsica and Russia instead of the Vatican which was the background of so many of Silva's books.
i hope Christopher Keller, a professional assassin who once tried to kill Allon, becomes a permanent addition in future books. What a great new character with an interesting background, and I love that he and Allon become best friends.
Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Let me start with, I am a huge Gabriel Allon fan. This one probably isn't his best, but it is a page turner. It has an interesting premise, full of sleeper agents and political intrigue.
