One of the best books I've read. A well put together story of the Grand Canyon, from the Spaniards in the 1500's to the story of 3 guys doing the fastest ride thru the Grand Canyon ever recorded due to the El Nino of 1983.
He covers all aspect of the Canyon, from discovery, to the building of the damns, to the fight to save the Canyon, to the epic adventure of 3 guys doing the fastest run thru the Canyon ever, do to a major release of water due to the El Nino.
