When I first started this book, I didn't think I was going to like it, because it is in first person, and I didn't think I liked Emerald that much. But that sure changed! There was so much emotional growth throughout the story. The BDSM was excellent. I loved the relationships between all the major players. There was a considerable amount of "purple prose" during sex scenes. That, and sloppy editing of the last few chapters, forces me to knock off half a star. But overall, an excellent read! I would definitely read more by this author.
