Some loose ends caused a little head scratching, but nowhere near enough to undermine the unique relationship of the main couple. Archer has built a solid wall around his secret sexual proclivities, creating subterfuge and misunderstandings, so it's not surprising that the subsequent lack of communication practically derails his already shaky marriage of convenience to Poppy. Frustrating, yes, but the scenes where he indulges his desires are not only exciting and tastefully written (and too few!), they provide an honest glimpse into his mindset. What's it like for a man who needs to be flogged? And what does a curious wife do about it? Ooh, nicely done!
