I loved this contemporary fake dating romance. The premise: Healthy living through fitness and nutrition is Taylor's passion, but she's stumbled a few times in making it her career. It seems her monetary problems are solved when Jamar Dixon, a former NFL player attempting a comeback, hires her as his personal fitness coach. But things get really complicated when a reporter sees them together and Taylor blurts out that they're dating.

This is the perfect combination of witty banter, steamy romance, and deeper issues regarding Taylor's family, Jamar's past, and both Taylor and Jamar finding their career paths amid challenges. As the second book featuring three women united by unusual circumstances, it's not necessary to read The Boyfriend Project before Playbook, even though key characters from the first book appear in book two. I enjoyed them both and hope London is featured in the author's next novel.

The audiobook was great fun with Rebecca Lee's narration - plus a bonus chapter was provided to better understand Taylor's financial situation. Thank you to Hachette Audio and NetGalley for the review copy of the audiobook; all thoughts are my own.
