Alison Carlyle was immediately drawn to the painting she was given by Colin MacGregor. He also gave her information to be passed on to his son Lake who painted the picture and whom he had not spoken to in decades. Lake, a former secret operative with the "Wolf Pack" sees the showing of his paintings as an opportunity to draw out and confront his arch enemy Joplin. Joplin was a rogue agent who had already killed Lake's colleague Rob and had attempted to kill another colleague Jess (from Dare's "Dangerous Ground"). What he didn't count on was Alison's belief in him and her ability to see inside the shell he believes that he has become. Satisfying sequel and good read.
Another good "Bombshell" book...good read!!
Dare is always excellent!
