The story is set in the 70's, and it rings so true. I was in high school then and the attitudes sound way too familiar.
Daisy Chain is a great read - sobering but (unfortunately) very real. But the book is also full of hope. I recommended it to my teenage daughters, who were also caught up in the story and enjoyed the read.

WONDERFUL book! Very heart wrenching at times---if you don't like stories about physical or mental abuse this book is not for you. Otherwise it is a great book about trusting in God and knowing that He is out there looking and watching over you in your time of need even if you don't know it. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.
