We normally learn that troops landed at Normandy and then pushed on to Paris. However, do you know what it took to get those troops to Normandy. That is the amazing story that Ambrose tells. Some will criticize the amount of detail, but that is the point. The details that had to be handled on the homefront in order to land those troops should make every American proud. This is a must read!
