Shortly after opening a cat café, Alexis Carlisle became known for being one of many women to accuse a famous chef of sexual harassment. Many women who were in the same boat showed up at her café to talk about what happened to them. When a new woman named Candi shows up, Alexis expects her to talk about how she was harassed. Instead, Candi tells Alexis that she is her sister and their father needs a kidney transplant.

Alexis is shocked. She turns to her best friend, Noah Logan, for support. Noah has been in love with Alexis since the day he met her. When she asks for his help, he promises to stand by her. But Noah's friends in the Bromance Book Club convince him that now is the time to step up and go from best friend to boyfriend.

This is the third book in the Bromance Book Club series. Though it isn't as funny as the first book, the story was pretty good. Alexis has never met her father and had no idea he had another family. None of them is a match for the kidney transplant. They are hoping Alexis will take a test to see if she can donate. I liked seeing Alexis wading through the new family members, some of whom don't want her around. I also liked the romance between Noah and Alexis; though the book club portion of the story really didn't make much of a difference in the storyline. My rating: 4 Stars.
