Graphic novels are a unique twist for romance books, but unfortunately, it is the same old, boring plots. In this one, the "ugly duckling" gets the most eligible bachelor. By the drawings, however the "ugly duckling" is actually prettier than all the people (especially her sister) of whom she is jealous. It is her attitude is what makes her unattractive. The character comes off as not only have a low self-esteem, but also as being extremely bitter.
It is also a bit distracting to learn to read from front-to-back, making it seem like the lines are a bit out of sequence as well.

After years of living in her sister's shadow and losing countless boyfriends to her, Carrie Lockett cannot believe that hunky Shane Reynolds could really fall for her!
