Ghetto- born Winter is the young wealthy daughter of a prominent Brooklyn drug-dealing family. Quick-witted, sexy, and business-minded, she knows and loves the streets like the curves of her own body. But when a cold Winter wind blows her life in a direction she doesn't want to go, her street smarts and seductive skills are put to the test of a lifetime. Unwilling to lose , this ghetto girl will do ANYTHING to stay on top...
This book is a page turner. Never a dull moment filled with drama action and turmoil. I enjoyed it .

Rough language and sex scenes, but the book is still worth reading. Sister has an impressive gift for characterization. I almost cried when the book was over. She can make you care what happens to some rather scary characters.

An interesting, yet emotionally detached, cautionary tale about materialism, greed, and the illegal drug trade. Fast read, but starts to get a bit frustrating with all the stupid decisions the main character makes again and again...

Great book. Interesting point of view. Strong sexual content, so I wouldn't recommend to young teens. My 12-year old daughter tried to read this before I did and stopped her since I wasn't sure of the content. I'm glad I did.

This was a good book with a shocking ending. Winter is such a niave girl. At times I wanted to reach through the book and slap her back to reality. This book will keep you interested until the end and makes you feel like you are right there with the main character of the book.

I reseve 5 stars for my top 5 books, but this one was well written from a new perspective. There are some key things that "date" the book, but it also lends an authenticity to that time period. Its about a life and culture most of us don't know about personally, but if you throw out judgement you can get really caught up in the character.

Hands down one of the best I've ever read. This belongs in more than one genre- it's not just urban fiction and it's not just one genre.
People other than urban fiction lovers will also LOVE this book- try it!
