This is the follow up to DeSilva's Edgar Award winning debut novel. Newspaper hound Liam Mulligan investigates a murder that leads him to evidence of child pornography in a small Rhode Island town. While the subject matter of the investigation is horrific, DeSilva avoids being graphic. The dialogue between Mulligan and other characters is often laugh out loud funny and Mulligan is one of those characters you just really want to root for. DeSilva avoids the sophomore slump and delivers another winner.
