Enjoyed this very much as I always do when I read Alex McKnight. Sad to read about how Detroit has gone downhill. Lived there three times (in the suburbs) and seldom went downtown. Alex obviously is very familiar with the area. Hoping for many more episodes.

it was very difficult to rate this book--it is not a bad book, but it doesnt live up to Hamilton's others. Taken on its own, it was lacking in character development. And I wasn't keen on the ending. More fleshed out characters would make this a must read.

I had a hard time putting this down for any reason.

Well written story and I thought I had it figured out only to have twists and turns thrown at me but in the end?---I was right!

Steve Hamilton books are a great beach read for me, I'm from Michigan so they mean even more! Intrigue and suspense, love it.

It takes place in Detroit and not the UP hence my lower rating.
