I've just finished listening to FROM A BUICK 8 on audio for the second time.
This is an amazingly well done audio version.
There is a cast of 4 or 5 people who each tell their portion of the story, with a background narrator to mesh it together.
Nicely done and a pleasure to listen to.
And, of course the story is one of my favorites. That's a given.
I rank this as one of my favorite audio books.

I'm a constant reader who occasionally hesitates on some of SK's more recent works...I've been spoiled by works like IT and The Stand.

That being said, I'm glad I finally got over my reservations and read (listened to) From A Buick 8. SK once again ventures into Horror/SciFi territory (ie Tommyknockers, Dreamcatcher, Cell) with impressive results. In my opinion, the two genre are a difficult combination, but, as with several of his previous efforts, he's able to carry it off because of his excellent story, plot, and characters.

If you've hesitated, don't. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Also, the voice acting is nothing short of excellent.

Finally! A Stephen King novel with an actually decent ending and not some non-ending or crazy spider.
