Ive been on a reading binge lately with psychological thrillers and grabbing them up as soon as I can get them. However I couldn't read this one because the main character was on life support due to a stroke. The woman was alive and heard everything that was said as the doctor told his staff he was awaiting for a family member for permission to pull the plug, as she screamed to herself, âdon't murder me, I'm aliveâ!.
At that time, my phobias got the best of me; a feeling of being buried alive, claustrophobia, panic attack as my heart started pounding so hard I thought it would jump out of my chest. I realized I couldn't continue and had to put the book down.
This book got great reviews and unfortunately I can't enjoy it.

This is almost typical of British suspense, at least for me. I could not stand a single character in the book, not one. Especially the main character. Yet, I couldn't wait to get back in the car to listen to more. I was positive, almost to the end, that I knew whodunnit. I was delighted when I suddenly, at the very last, changed my mind, and was right. Recommended.
