Best Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients

pounds 2 - Ground Chuck
Package 1 - Dry onion soup mix
can 1 - Cream Mushroom soup

Directions

Take large sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil.

Mix Ground chuck and dry onion soup mix together.

Form into loaf shape and lay on aluminum foil.

Place cream of mushroom soup on top of meatloaf.

now wrap up and seal all the edges of the aluminum foil so it will not leek out.

Put on a shallow pan and bake at 375 for 1hr & 30 Minutes.

Notes

I use two cans of the soup as that is what makes the gravy to serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

I use part of a can of Tomato Puree and use any leftover bacon.

This is a nice simple recipe and very good. I love meatloaf. I also tried it with Golden Mushroom Soup. It was really good too with chunks of mushroom and a nice brownish gravy. Could also cut up some red peppers either for the meatloaf itself or in the gravy. Thanks for sharing, Cathie. Lorraine

I would think you could substitute cream of chicken soup in place of cream of mushroom.
