I waded through this as it is one of the 1001 books to read before you die. A lot of them were common from childhood, tortoise and the hare, fox and the grapes. I wasn't particularly enjoying it, and I can safely say I will never re-read it. I suppose for the time it was written it was pertinent, but all I can say is another off the list.
