This book is adapted from "Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain. It is fairly good, although somewhat superstitious at times (i.e., characters believing that a house is haunted) but it is NOT a ghost story. These are only in the characters' beliefs, and does not affect the story other than how the characters look at things.
Kids will love this classic. It's an easy read-aloud once you get used to the Old Souther dialect. Tom is every boy's boy. Wishbone's interjections help explain some of the archaic language and help to give insight to what is happening though out the story.
