DEAR LORD I PRAY,TAKE THIS UNENDING HURT AWAY.TOUCH MY HEART AND SOUL.SO,I MAY FEEL COMPLETELY WHOLE.ERASE THE MEMORY FROM MY HEAD,RID ME OF THE TEARS I'VE YET TO SHED.HEAL THE SUFFERING AND PAIN,EASE ME OF THE GUILT AND SHAME.LIFT MY HEAD UP HIGH,GIVE ME BACK MY DIGINITY AND PRIDE.HELP ME PLACE THE BLAME WHERE IT SHOULD BE,NOT ON MYSELF,BUT ON THE MEN WHO DID THIS TO ME.LAY ON THEIR SHOULDERS THIS HEAVY WEIGHT.SHOW THEM OF THEIR SINFUL FATE.BRING THEM DOWN ON BENDED KNEE.GIVE THEM THE CHANCE TO REPENT FOR WHAT THEY'VE DONE TO ME.GIVE ME COURAGE,MAKE ME STRONG,LET THEM SEE WHAT THEY DID WAS WRONG.ABUSE IS NOT A CHOICE,SO I PRAY DEAR LORD,YOU WILL HEAR MY TREMBLING VOICE,AND SET MY TROUBLED SPIRIT FREE.

This gave me chills. If only all victims would seek their refuge in the Lord--may these words lend strength to all who read them.

wow, this poem made me cry due to the memories that have lingered within my soul from my abuse. It gave me chills, and made me cry, this was one poem I will never regret reading. Very good job!

Barbara, I pray peace to your soul and your mind. I pray freedom from all feelings of blame and responsibility. I pray that the chains that bind you are broken and that you are set free. I pray that Almighty God will touch you and hold you in the palm of His hand. I pray that you go to sleep tonite and awake tomorrow with a renewed spirit and as a whole new person. Peaseful in God. Those men will answer to God for what they did and I wouldn't want to be in their shoes when they do. Be Blessed, my friend. Lorraine
