While I adored the first book in the series, I struggled a little bit with the first half of this one. Pacing was very slow, and many of the scenes were either repetitive or redundant. As soon as they headed off for the Gathering, however, I raced through it, and the explosive second half more than compensates for the languid first. There are so many fascinating characters to explore - I'm thrilled to see that Daniella and Devlin get their own book, as well as Mason - and the hints that we got in this delicious and tantalizing. I can't say I was thrilled with the ending, as if felt a little anticlimactic after everything else, but I'm still satisfied with it. I can't wait to get to the next book.
