As a long time fan of Madeleine L'Engle, I came across this small book in my attempt to read all of her books in the order they were published.
I read this on a day when I was feeling burdened with my own tangled thoughts. Reading through each prayer from a child's perspective reminded me of the basic simplicity of living a life attempting to follow Christ. It calmed me and soothed my soul.
Although quite different from such works as A Wrinkle in Time and Swiftly Tilting Planet, Madeleiene L'Engle again brings a treat with Prayers for Sunday.
