I enjoyed this addition to the shapeshifter series. Without being repetitive, I agree with all that Cynthia said but with all the characters it would be best to read the previous books first. Gwen and Lock (the most adorable Grizzly imaginable) are wonderful together as they deal with family and friends interferring with their relationship. The romance is weaved skillfully through the plot to murder Gwen. And the mothers-in-law are so interesting (really off the wall).
On the down side the steamy scenes did get too drawn-out for me and I started skimming them. The random paragraphs that had nothing to do with anything that was going on got annoying. For me, they never did get tied into the plot very well.
It was worth reading the book just to find out about the bear lips. I won't spoil it by telling you. And the "toes" had me laughing out loud. It was great to catch up with Sissy & Smitty and the Shaw Lions so this is a must read if you are following this series.
