Very cool short story collection. Tremayne notes in the foreword that this group of stories answers questions about Sister Fidelma and the period that he has been asked - essentially if someone posed an interesting question, he wrote a story around the answer. A must read for any Fidelma fan (or any historic or ecclesiastical mystery fan, for that matter).
Great collection of Sister Fidelma short stories. I love this 7th century Irish religieuse.
And another fifteen excellent short stories featuring the wise Sister Fidelma. Apart from being clever mysteries, the fascinating background of 7th century Ireland makes this collection well worth reading.

This entertaining series of short stories illustrating Sister Fidelma's investigative skills is a delightful read. Some of the plots are somewhat simplistic and many readers will anticipate, long before the end of the story, the ending. Whereas, others, like many of the longer novels, are a surprise
