A quick but compelling read about an FBI profiler who fears what's in his own past. He falls for the beautiful B & B owner he meets while on vacation and even more sweetly for her young daughter. Of course, he gets to come to the rescue and they live happily ever after! It's a little predictable (he doesn't seem to think twice about moving to her small town to become the local sheriff) but the characters are likable and real. I'm irritated when writers include perfect children in their books - in contrast Cassidy gets the princess walking Macy just right.
