From back cover:
Sloan Whittaker was resentful and mad as hell at the world. Frustrated by his slow recovery following an accident, this proud young man had chased off everyone who'd tried to help him. He was a prisoner to his bitterness-convinced he could never walk again.
Joy Nielsen had been there herself. And she understood the battle Sloan had to fight. But it was a battle she knew he could win--all he had to was start believing. As his therapist, that was all she wanted. As a woman, Joy feared that once he walked again, the love that had grown between them would be left behind.
