I would recommend this book to anyone with young adult readers. The book is well set up in the beginning but not slow, and it will hold the readers attention. The book demonstrates the choices in life that are the hard ones to make and so many people choose to take the easy way out. It shows that every choice is yours and does it in a way that is believable and not overdone.

Contemporary teen fiction by Paul Richard Evans. Michael Vey is an ordinary teenager...with secrets. Michael has an affinity for electricity. He is able to electrically shock people, and conduct electricity in other ways. He and his mom have been trying to hide his ability. Michael also has Tourette's syndrome, which opens him up for a lot of bullying.

Then a pretty, popular cheerleader, Taylor sees in him in action one day. Taylor has secrets of her own.

This is a great story. There are bad guys out looking for teenagers just like Michael, who have evil plans.

There are no vampires, faeries, werewolves, zombies, elves or angels in this story. There are also no swear words. This is just a very good thriller with lots of action, a hero to be proud of, and great sidekicks. Great read for any age.

Very easy read, and very enjoyable. I could see this series becoming a big hit...not to Harry Potter or Twilight levels, but still big. Highly recommend.
